This year, JFCY is having it's annual fundraiser and silent auction...

 

Our fundraiser will not only celebrate our hard work this year, but also help us raise the money necessary to operate our Street Youth Legal Services, to actively engage young people and create educational materials.

 

Justice for Children and Youth is the only organization in Canada--and one of a very few in the world--that is exclusively focused on protecting the legal rights of children and youth. This allows the Clinic to offer a highly specialized and credible voice on issues affecting those legal rights. The majority of the children we help are in situations of crisis and have multiple and interconnected problems, including poverty, social isolation, learning, mental health issues, and homelessness. Justice for Children and Youth provides children with access to justice by representing them in courts, tribunals and hearings, as well as training those who work with children to recognize and advocate against child rights violations. By providing legal counsel to the most vulnerable members of our society, as well as legal education workshops and law reform activities, JFCY is working towards an Ontario where all children have access to education, mental health supports, and a fair justice system.
